RF Skin Tightening and Body Contouring

How does it work?

The radiofrequency (RF) energy uniformly heats the dermis while cooling and protecting the epidermis. It is designed to cause immediate collagen contraction followed by new collagen production which occurs over a period of time. The RF procedure is the only non-invasive method to tighten loose skin.

Due to normal aging process, the skin begins to sag and wrinkle.

RF technology safely heats skin’s underlayer and the web of collagen in the inner layer, causing an immediate tightening.

The tone and texture of skin is improved due to new collagen growth.

What does a RF Procedure feel like?

This is a no pain, no down time treatment.  Treatment feels like a cooling massage.  There is an immediate cool sensation, followed by a warm sensation. Occasionally, there could be a static sensation.

How long will the RF Procedure take?
Depending on the size of the area treated, the procedure itself may take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Typically, facial treatments take one hour.

When can I return to my normal activities?

You may return to your normal activities immediately, as there is usually no "downtime". Minimal redness is seen in some patients but it usually disappears shortly after treatment. Heat-related complications can occur but are uncommon. There is no special care needed after treatment. As a part of good skin care, sunscreen is recommended.

When will I see results?

You may start seeing some results immediately after treatment. Most significant results will be seen after 3-4 treatments.

RF treatments can:

*Tighten skin and decrease deeper winkles.

*Stimulate collagen cells.

*Tighten large pores.

*Reshape the face outlines and produce some degree of a lift.

*Rebuild body figure.

How many treatments will I need?

A single treatment has produced good results in a significant number of patients. However, your doctor will assess the number and frequency of treatments required to achieve optimal results for your skin.

How long will the effects of the RF procedure last?

Recently published studies show that improvements continue for at least six months after a single treatment session. Other studies show that thermal collagen changes can last two years, depending on the rate of the aging process.
